Table Service
To start off Animal Kingdom date night ideas in Disney World, we will talk about the great table service locations!
Tiffins
First on our list is Tiffins, the signature dining experience at the Animal Kingdom park. “Tiffin” is actually the the Indian word for a lunchbox and is open for lunch and dinner daily. The decor in this restaurant celebrates traveling and is truly a sight to behold. There are even pictures of Cast Members’ travels around the world! You’ll find some more exotic menu items, but there is something for any pallet! I don’t think you could go wrong with the bread service or butter chicken! Lobster macaroni and cheese, anyone? If you’re looking for a romantic, signature dining experience at Animal Kingdom, this is your spot!
Yak & Yeti
I absolutely adore Yak & Yeti! The Nepalese-style decor throughout the restaurant is unique. There’s something to look at in every corner! The menu features Pan-Asian dishes that will not disappoint. The firecracker shrimp starter is really good. For mains, our go-to’s are always the honey chicken and Kobe beef burger. You just can’t go wrong with either one! They now even serve shareable items (meant for 2) that would be perfect for your date night! If you’re looking for the perfect way to end your meal, I recommend you try the fried wontons. Yum!!
Tusker House
If you wish to have a character dining experience without the kids on your Animal Kingdom date night, then check out Tusker House Restaurant. Donald, Daisy, Mickey, and Goofy are all sporting their safari gear- perfect for pictures! This is a buffet establishment that serves up African-inspired cuisine along with the classics. Some say the food is a bit spicy if you don’t like spice. However, there is something here for everyone, especially vegetarians!
Quick Service
If you don’t want a sit down meal, then don’t worry! I have a couple of recommendations for a quick service meal on date night. If you don’t want to wait in line, both locations offer Mobile Ordering.
Satu’li Canteen
If you’ve been following my blog, then you know Satu’li Canteen is my absolute favorite quick service location! I love the atmosphere and menu options (I’m a sucker for any meal in a bowl!). They just can’t be beat, so this is my recommendation if you’re looking for a quick service location on date night at Animal Kingdom! You won’t be disappointed if you go here!
Harambe Market
This outdoor quick service location is unique in that there are 4 walk-up window locations inside Harambe Market. Each window serves up different dishes, so you may want to browse around first! The different establishments are Kitamu Grill, Famous Sausages, Chef Mwanga’s, and Wanjohi Refreshments. We always head for the pork sausage option, but everything looks and smells delicious!
Lounges
If you and your date just want to lounge around and enjoy drinks and small bites, then there is a location in Animal Kingdom for you!
Nomad Lounge
The Nomad Lounge is situated right on the water and adjacent to Tiffins. This location offers a small bites menu with offerings such as a seared Wagyu beef skewer, truffle poutine, Impossible Burger sliders, and chicken satay. Their handcrafted cocktails menu is very creative! They also offer an extensive beer and wine list as well as premium teas and coffees. This is the perfect place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the park during your date night in Animal Kingdom!
I hope this gives you some ideas for where to eat in Animal Kingdom for date night! Check back in for Part 2!
Cheers!!
