Coronado Springs & Gran Destino Tower

Located in the Animal Kingdom Resort area, Coronado Springs is one of many moderate resorts at Disney World. Over the last several years, Coronado Springs received a reimagining that modernized its Spanish, Mexican and American Southwest vibe! Included in this overhaul was the construction of the Gran Destino Tower on the shores of Lago (Lake) Dorado. The Tower has 545 modern guest rooms (including 50 suites and club-level services), a grand two-story lobby, new meeting venues, and a rooftop restaurant and lounge.

You may be wondering “where did this Tower gets its name?”. Gran Destino Tower takes its name from the Disney film “Destino.” Inspired by the animated short, the tower is absolutely magnificent. The artwork is stunning!

Dining at Gran Destino Tower

The dining locations are very impressive. On the lobby’s lower level is the Barcelona Lounge. Guests can enjoy coffee in the morning and cocktails throughout the day with amazing lake views. Located on the rooftop is olédo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood and Dahlia Lounge. These locations offer incredible views of Disney World from the tower’s 16th floor. Here, a Spanish-inspired menu features entrees like chuletón, a 32-ounce, Spanish-style ribeye for 2, as well as sustainable seafood and classic Spanish sides. There are actually live olive trees throughout the restaurant that are accented by the vaulted ceiling! Additionally, there’s an onstage tapas kitchen inspired by the flavors of Spain, specializing in small plates, charcuteríá and cheeses.

Yes, those are live olive trees!

Enhanced Guest Rooms

If you’re looking to add a touch of exclusivity to your Disney World vacation, then consider the benefits of the Chronos Club. This club-level offers its guests views of the Disney World Resort and cast members who can assist with vacation planning. Light refreshments are available throughout the day. All Tower resort rooms are equipped with new interactive televisions that allow guests to view their PhotoPass pictures or even stream from mobile devices!

New Lakeside Dining

As if the Gran Destino Tower wasn’t enough, 3 new pedestrian bridges now extend across Lago Dorado. Follow any 1 of those pathways and you’ll find a new outdoor restaurant In the middle of the lake, Three Bridges Bar & Grill. The open-air, waterfront restaurant serves up mouthwatering entrees and tapas, along with refreshing cocktails and signature sangria pitchers.

The Gran Destino Tower opening shows off a stunning new resort. So, will you consider the Gran Destino Tower for your next Disney World vacation?

Check back tomorrow for Part 2 of Animal Kingdom date night ideas! Cheers!!
