If you haven’t already, check out our other date night articles for Epcot (Part 1 and Part 2), Hollywood Studios (Part 1 and Part 2), and Animal Kingdom (Part 1 and Part 2).
Attend Mickey’s Special Parties
There are 2 parties held at the Magic Kingdom that are very popular (and for good reason!). These are hard ticketed events, meaning they require a separate ticket purchase to attend, however, they are worth it! If you will be in Disney World during these events, then you may want to consider making it a part of your date night.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Magic Kingdom hosts Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party from August through November. This party is includes some wicked entertainment such as special Halloween fireworks, spooky shows, and a Halloween parade! There are special character meet-and-greets as well as stars from the Haunted Mansion attraction walking among us, mortals! Go dressed in your best Halloween gear or channel your favorite Disney character (just be sure to follow Disney guidelines!). You and your date will have a blast trick-or-treating throughout the park. Who doesn’t love complimentary candy?! Tickets start $79 USD, so be sure to receive your $10 USD off by purchasing in advance!
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
My husband and I absolutely adore the holidays, so Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is right up our alley! Running from mid-November through December, Magic Kingdom becomes even more magical during this party (if that’s even possible!). The Very Merry Christmas Party features a festive parade, snow (yes, snow!) on Main Street USA, a cheerful castle show, spectacular nighttime fireworks display, and special character meet-and-greats. Come hungry because snacks and drinks, such as cookies and hot chocolate, are included with your ticket! Tickets start at $99 USD after $10 USD advance-purchase savings!
Meet a Princess
We love meet and greets, even without the kids! Magic Kingdom has a lot of characters you can meet, but the princess ones are always a lot of fun. Magic Kingdom is home to Princess Fairytale Hall with four, that’s right FOUR, princesses! Fairytale Hall is divided into two sections: one side has Cinderella and Elena while the other has Rapunzel and Tiana. Just be sure to grab your FastPasses!
Conquer the Mountain Challenge!
We love the rollercoasters in Magic Kingdom. Our son isn’t tall enough to ride, so this challenge is absolutely perfect for date night! Get ready for you and your date to zip through the gold mines of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and blast off into space on the iconic dark rollercoaster, Space Mountain! Next, visit the Snow White and a gorgeous diamond mine on Seven Dwarves Mine Train. Finally, you and your date will take the 5-story plunge down into the Briar Patch on Splash Mountain! Are you up for this challenge?! If so, don’t forget to schedule those FastPasses!
See the Fireworks
My husband and I adore the nighttime shows at Magic Kingdom. The projections on Cinderella Castle and fireworks surrounding it can take your breath away. Happily Ever After fireworks spectacular is a must do on your date night! This show is the grandest one yet with lazers, projections, and pyrotechnics in sync with a heartwarming soundtrack! Right after Happily Every After is Once Upon a Time, the projection show that brings the castle to life with scenes and tunes from your favorite Disney movies! Be sure to check the times guide so you can grab the perfect spot before these shows begin! These two shows will be an epic grand finale for your date night in Magic Kingdom.
I hope this post gives you some fun activities for your Magic Kingdom date night! You and your date will surely enjoy a magical evening out.
Until next time… Cheers!!
