At the D23 Expo last month, Disney announced the dramatic overhaul of FutureWorld in Epcot. World Celebration, World Discovery, and World Nature are the three new areas replacing the current FutureWorld landscape! The Epcot closures began this week to allow for this FutureWorld metamorphosis.

On September 8, 2019, Club Cool, Fountain View (the Starbucks location), Colortopia, and the Fountain of Nations were all closed! Innoventions West is now home to half of the Character Spot characters. Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy will be meeting guests in the new Spot whereas Baymax, Sadness, and Joy are in their original location (but will be relocated soon). One thing to keep in mind, however, is that the new Character Spot with Mickey and Pals is currently not accepting FastPasses. Hopefully they will be fixing that soon as Epcot is one of our favorite places to meet Mickey!

You can still visit Joy and Sadness in the original Character Spot location!

If you want to get your Beverly fix, be sure to check out the Coca-Cola Store Rooftop Beverage Bar in Disney Springs. I’m actually one of those people that doesn’t mind the taste of Beverly! Thus, I’m happy guests can still “enjoy” a cup 🙂

Be sure to visit the Coca-Cola Store Rooftop Beverage Bar for your Beverly fix!

What will you miss the most from the Epcot closures this week? It’s bittersweet to see the transformation of FutureWorld!

Check back tomorrow for an all new full length post! Cheers!!
