Have I said I love the date night series?! Well, today we are going to continue with one of my favorite areas in all of Walt Disney World. The BoardWalk! Let’s begin the BoardWalk date night ideas in Disney World with places to eat.
Be sure to check out the other posts in our date night series including Magic Kingdom (Part 1 and Part 2), Epcot (Part 1 and Part 2), Hollywood Studios (Part 1 and Part 2), Animal Kingdom (Part 1 and Part 2), and Disney Springs (Part 1 and Part 2).
Table Service
There are some great table service locations for your BoardWalk date night in Disney World! There are two solid restaurants to give a try if you’re looking to step up your date night!
Flying Fish
Flying Fish is a signature dining experience that won’t disappoint! This location was recently redesigned and the new, elegant decor will surely impress your date. The diverse menu will appeal to seafood lovers and haters alike! There are some great appetizers including local soft shell crab, Wisconsin burrata, lobster bisque and Kurobata pork belly! The entrees are works of art and include items such as Hokkaido scallops, tomahawk ribeye for two, sea bass, and swordfish. There is an impressive wine and signature cocktail list as well! You’ll have trouble choosing!
Trattoria al Forno
My husband and I love Italian food and Trattoria al Forno is a great location! Here, they offer Italian classics as well as regional specialties. There are items such as calamari, chicken parmesan, variety of pizzas, veal osso buco, and zeppoli! Trattoria boasts an extensive wine list for the perfect pairings! You can end your Italian meal with some grappa!
Quick Service
We LOVE the quick service locations at the BoardWalk! They are some of our favorites. It is perfect to grab some food and take a seat on the BoardWalk next to the water. The views are spectacular, especially during sunset. You and your date will have such a wonderful time!
BoardWalk Bakery
We can’t get enough of the BoardWalk Bakery. We, personally, think they have the best cupcakes on all of Disney World property. They aren’t too sweet and packed with flavor! Plus, they are enormous! There is definitely enough to share. In addition to the outstanding desserts, there are savory salads and sandwiches. I thoroughly enjoyed the grilled cheese and tomato soup. It’s perfect, even on a hot day! Just a note, there is no seating inside the Bakery. Just grab a seat on the BoardWalk itself and enjoy the views!
Pizza Window
The Pizza Window is just that- a window that serves up some pizza! Pizza is the focus of the menu (obviously!) with options such as personal pizzas or whole pizzas with toppings such as sausage, pepperoni, bacon, and mushrooms. There are also 2 sandwich options (Italian hoagie or meatball sub). The sandwiches and pizzas are fresh and made-to-order so they come out piping hot (and with great cheese-pull!). They also serve Sangria and draft beer. So order up and grab a seat on the BoardWalk for a great meal!
The To-Go Cart
The To-Go Cart is another great option for some typical BoardWalk faire! The specialize in American classics like hot dogs, chicken fingers, french fries, and burgers. Their burgers are actually very good and substantial! The prices are reasonable (for Disney!) and the food very filling. We would grab dinner here and then head over the the BoardWalk Bakery for dessert!
Lounges/Snacks
There are two great spots to stop by to enjoy a drink or a sweet snack!
AbracadaBar
I love the theming inside AbracadaBar! It will transport you back in time with it’s vintage props and show posters! They have a decent list of wines and beers, but their signature cocktails is where it’s at. If you’re up for something adventurous, check out the Elixir (Lucid Absinthe, sugar cube, and water). I enjoy a good whiskey sour (The Sour Assistant) and a classic Manhattan (Magic Hattan) is always good!
Ample Hills Creamery
If you have a sweet spot for good ice cream, then you and your date will want to check out Ample Hills Creamery. This cool treat is delicious and you can sample the flavors before committing! They are well known for their Ooey Gooey Butter Cake (this was my favorite) and Sally Sells Seashells (exclusive flavor to Disney World). Now, I will have to warn you that they are on the pricey side. A small scoop of ice cream is $6.99 USD! However, it is worth a try if you and your date are ice cream lovers!
I hope this gives you some great BoardWalk date night ideas in Disney World! Tune in next time as we talk about fun things to do at the BoardWalk!
Until then, cheers!!
