Welcome back to an all new post! If you’ll be traveling to Disney World with some kids in tow, then this is the post for you! I’ve discovered a few things that make our Disney trips run a bit smoother (with less tantrums and melt downs!). Today, I’m going to share my top 5 Disney World hacks for kids.

#1 Track Your Things

If you have a stroller or any important items with you in the parks, you’ll definitely want to keep track of them! I highly recommend using the Tile system to help with this. Once attached to your item, you can track its location from an app on your phone. Disney Cast Members have a habit of rearranging strollers while guests are enjoying an attraction. That means your stroller won’t be where you left it! This happened to me on the Safari at Animal Kingdom. I activated the Tile and followed the jingle to find our stroller! Easily find your items before the meltdowns begin!

#2 Bring Tons of Snacks

This can apply to everyone in your party! No one has fun when someone is hangry, so pack your own snacks or candy. Snacks can be expensive in the Disney parks. To save some money, plan to bring your own or have a grocery delivery to your resort!

#3 Pack Those Distractions

You never know when you might get stuck waiting around for an attraction, food, etc. So I highly recommend bringing supplies to keep your kids busy! Whether it be tablets, coloring books, bubbles, etc. they will certainly save your sanity.

Pro tip #1: Do NOT, and I repeat, do not bring crayons! Those suckers will melt in the Floridian weather no matter the time of year!

Pro tip #2: Check your local dollar store to see what disctractions they carry! A lot of the time, you can even find Disney themed activities!

#4 Win the Souvenir Battles

It seems every attraction in Disney World ends in a gift shop! I swear we can’t make it through a Disney shop without hearing “I want that!” at least 5 times. We learned to bring Disney trinkets from the Dollar Store to help. If your kids are older, you can also give them a preloaded Disney gift card. That way they can keep track of their own spending and purchase what they one within the budget!

#5 Know When to Take Breaks

There is SO MUCH going on in Disney World that it can be overwhelming no matter your age! I highly recommend taking breaks either in the parks themselves or stopping back at your resort. As a matter of fact, we even have recommendations for places to stop for a rest in the theme parks! If you’re vacationing during the summer months, you’ll all need to escape that heat and humidity at some point! You’ll be amazed at how a simple break can recharge everyone!

With these hacks for doing Disney World with kids, you’ll sure to have a fun-filled vacation!
