Sunday Snippet: MagicBand Upgrade for Disney World!

Welcome back to the weekly installment! If you’re in the United States, I hope you are enjoying the long Memorial Day weekend :). One of the things I always look forward to on vacation in Disney World is wearing my MagicBand! There is a big buzz in the Disney community because guests can now receive a MagicBand upgrade at Disney World!

Before I go on, be sure to check out our posts from this week on tickets and Annual Passes to Disney World! OK, now back to the show…

MagicBand Upgrade for Disney World!
Using the MagicBand really enhances the Disney World experience for all ages!

Resort guests and new or renewing Annual Passholders now have the option to upgrade the MagicBand at Disney World! You can still choose from 1 of the complimentary solid-color ones or can select from over 30 designs (for a small fee, of course). If selecting a new, designed MagicBand, you will receive $14.99 USD off of the original price. The total for a MagicBand with a design will be around $10 USD, after the discount. For a complete list of the design options, you can check out Disney Tourist Blog!

Guests with a United States address, will receive these new MagicBands shipped directly to their homes! Thus, the MagicBand order must be placed at least 11 days prior to the Disney World arrival. Additionally, guests can still personalize these bands, just as before! My Disney Experience app or My Disney Experience at DisneyWorld.com are the 2 options for selecting and personalizing the bands.

Be sure to check back tomorrow for another full length post! Here’s a great video about this MagicBand upgrade. Cheers!!

  1. Our first trip to WDW we didn’t get Magic Bands – huge mistake! Our second trip we had them and we’ll never be without again. They are so useful and make the trip extremely easier. I’m excited for the upgrades, too! Only problem is, which awesome design to choose?
