In the last post I talked all about the many different Disney World ticket options. The Annual Pass truly is an upgrade and can even save you money in the end. Here’s everything you need to know about purchasing Annual Passes to the Disney World parks!
General Types of Annual Passes
The Annual Passes to Disney World are a great option! In a previous post, I describe how the pass is worth it even if you plan to visit The World once a year (despite the recent price increases). There are 2 main things you should be aware of before purchasing one:
- The pass is good from the date it is activated, not the date of purchase! To be honest, this confused me at first! We purchased our passes in July, 2018, but didn’t activate them until September 14, 2018. Thus, our passes are valid until Sept. 14, 2019. Pro tip: purchase your pass before Disney raises the prices!
- A MagicBand, with a special Annual Pass slider, is included in the cost (see the Sunday Snippet for updates on MagicBands!). You can personalized the band with your name and color choice. However, you will not receive your band until AFTER you activate your pass at 1 of the Disney parks. For instance, we activated our passes in September, but received our bands in the mail sometime in October.
There are a few different passes you can chose from…
