Happy Father’s Day and welcome to the latest Sunday Snippet! This week, Disney announced a brand new Animation Experience coming to Disney World’s Animal Kingdom. This will certainly add a touch of magic to the park!
Don’t forget to check out Part 1 and Part 2 of our date night ideas in Hollywood Studios!
Accessible by the Wildlife Express Train, Rafiki’s Planet Watch and Conservation Station is an area of Animal Kingdom that celebrates all things animals including habitat conservation exhibits and a veterinary care viewing area. Last year, this entire area was shut down for refurbishments. Rumors ran rampant, but we finally know what is in store for this space!
In addition to the usual sections of Rafiki’s Planet Watch returning, such as the Affection Section, a new Animation Experience will open in Animal Kingdom! This experience will honor the 25th Anniversary of The Lion King. Featuring an instructor-led class, you will be able to create your very own custom animation piece. For instance, you will draw Zazu, Simba, Timon, Pumba, and more! Disney recommends visiting more than once to draw the complete collection of characters! Don’t worry, FastPass+ reservations will be available to secure your seat.
This experience will open on July 11, 2019! This sounds like the perfect, affordable souvenir opportunity!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Cheers!!
