Valentine’s Day at Disney World

The most romantic day of the year is just around the corner! So for today’s post, we are going to be talking about celebrating Valentine’s Day at Disney World.

Last year, all was status-quo and operating as normal. Under these normal operations, there were special ways to celebrate such as PhotoPass photographers with unique photo opportunities. We aren’t quite sure if this will be returning this year as things are still looking a bit different at Disney World due to the ongoing pandemic.

If you’re looking for a special way to celebrate a date night, be sure to check out our previous posts!  However, here are some unique ways to make for a memorable Valentine’s Day at Disney World.

Our favorite spot for a wonderful, romantic evening has got to be Disney Springs! There is just so much to see and do (plus, no park ticket required!). So, for this post, a lot of our suggestions will be located here.

The Ganachery

When we think Valentine’s Day, chocolate is always involved! There’s no better place to visit than The Ganachery at Disney Springs. Located in The Landing, this quaint store has all the chocolate treats to impress any date on Valentine’s Day. They are featuring some limited edition treats such as a Sweetheart Minnie Piñata (filled with homemade marshmallows!) and Strawberries and Champagne Ganache Squares (yes, please!).

Amorette’s Patisserie

If you’re looking for some incredible edible delights, then definitely head on over to Amorette’s Patisserie by the World of Disney store in Disney Springs. Not only do they serve up some awesome desserts, Amorette’s also has savory options and wine or champagne! However, those desserts taste just as amazing as they look! This year their Valentine’s Day menu features three desserts: Sweetheart Macaron, special Petite Cake, and a Trio Flavor Parfait.

Wine Bar George & The Basket

We LOVE Wine Bar George and its takeout window, The Basket. The food is amazing, the wine is wonderful, and the service just can’t be beat! Plus, you have the option of a full sit-down meal or a specially prepared picnic basket to-go! We highly recommend taking some food and wine as takeout and finding a romantic spot (away from the crowds) to enjoy it. What better way is there to special Valentine’s Day at Disney World?!

Pro tip: Invest in the reusable Corkicle and metal straw. If you do, you’ll get a complimentary frozen drink and be eligible for  discounted refills. The frosé is to. die. for.

Characters in Flight

If you’re looking for something to do with your Valentine, we highly recommend Characters in Flight at Disney Springs (told you we like it here for date night!). You and your date can board a special Disney Aerophile balloon and set sail above Disney Springs. For a more romantic feel, check this out in the evening. And don’t forget your camera!

California Grill

Now off to a Magic Kingdom resort! Even though fireworks are cancelled at Cinderella Castle, the views just cannot be beat at California Grill. Located on the upper level of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, California Grill offers a amazing cuisine in a truly unique romantic setting. There may not be a better spot to celebrate Valentine’s Day at Disney World! Carlifornia Grill is offering a special prix fixe menu that begins with a sparkling wine toast with your choice of two courses and a dessert:

Choice of One Appetizer:
Plant City Strawberry Salad
Braised Beef Short Rib Wontons
Yellowfin Tuna Sampler

Choice of One Entrée:
Jumbo Scallops served with herb basmati rice and lobster
Oak-fired Wagyu Striploin served with potato-celeriac-apple pavé
Green Circle Chicken served with truffle-potato rostï

Dessert:
Key-to-Your-Heart Dessert (Raspberry chèvre cheesecake)

We hope this gives you some great ideas for celebrating Valentine’s Day at Disney World!

Until next time… Cheers!!!
