Hello everyone! It is always exciting whenever an attraction at Disney World receives a make-over. My family and I love debating if we prefer the old or new versions. Plus, the updates keep our vacations interesting! There are some fun things in store for Magic Kingdom. So let’s talk about the Disney World attractions that are getting some exciting updates!
Jungle Cruise
The Jungle Cruise is an iconic attraction that guests adore. However, the ride will be getting a much needed refresh to be more inclusive. Additionally, Disney will be removing insensitive stereotypes and cultural references. This is similar to the make-over to the Pirates of the Caribbean auction scene. Although material from the upcoming Jungle Cruise feature film will not be incorporated into the final product, it will be exciting to see what Disney has planned! So far, sources point to Trader Sam being removed from the attraction, but we know there’s more in store! Here’s a little hint at what we can expect:
Hall of Presidents
Another one of the Disney World attractions receiving important updates is the Hall of Presidents. Located in Liberty Square of Magic Kingdom, the Hall of Presidents brings history to life! This attraction is temporarily closed to make room for the 46th President of the United States, Joe Biden. Rumor has it there will be some other changes being made, including adding our favorite muppets to the show. So far, no reopening date is officially announced.
Splash Mountain
Disney has been hard at work on a complete retheming of Splash Mountain in both Magic Kingdom and Disneyland! Finally, one of our favorite animated films will be getting some much needed representation. Princess and the Frog will be officially present on both coasts! Guests will still board the famous logs, but enjoy a ride through Tiana’s world. No further details have been announced. However, we can’t wait to see what Disney has in store for this refresh!
Which Disney World attractions are you most excited to receive updates? Be sure to check out what new things are coming to the Parks in 2021!
Until next time… Cheers!!!
