Face Masks and Fireworks in Disney World

Hi all!! There are important breaking news this week, so we will take a temporary hiatus from our “best tips” series! Things are starting to get even more normal at the Disney theme parks. Let’s talk about face masks and fireworks in Disney World!

In case you want to brush up on those best tips, check them out for Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios!

Face Masks

There’s been a gradual decrease in the amount of places guests visiting Disney World need to wear masks. Before, face coverings were required for everyone when indoors or waiting in a queue. However, that’s changed! On June 15, 2021, face masks were made optional for fully vaccinated guests. Disney expects those that are not fully vaccinated to wear masks in all indoor locations. Cast members will not be verifying vaccination status. All guests, regardless of vaccination status, must wear face coverings on Disney transportation including buses, monorails, and the Disney Skyliner (not on ferries or boats).

As a side note, physical distancing measures are also being relaxed. For instance, most queue lines no longer have ground markers spaced 6 feet apart.

Fireworks

It’s happening, folks! After a 1+ year hiatus, nighttime fireworks are returning to Disney World! Starting July 1, 2021, look to the skies in both Magic Kingdom and Epcot for sparkling shows! Happily Ever After will begin in Magic Kingdom with Epcot Forever showing in Epcot. Showtimes for the fireworks are on the Disney World July calendar. Check out the fireworks are 9:15pm in Magic Kingdom and 10:00pm in Epcot.

So what do you think about the updates to face masks and fireworks in Disney World?

Until next time… Cheers!!!
