If you’ve looked at the Disney World dining locations online or listened to a few Disney vlogs, then you’ve probably come across “Tables in Wonderland.” When I first heard about this card, I couldn’t figure out what it was! Somehow it gave cardholders exclusive dining discounts, so I had to find out more. Today’s post will be all about Disney World dining discount via the Tables in Wonderland card
What is Tables in Wonderland?
Tables in Wonderland is a membership that gives cardholders discounts on Disney World food and drinks, including alcoholic beverages. There are over 100 restaurants that accept this discount. Cardholders also receive exclusive access to special dining events and offers, and complimentary valet resort and theme park parking for dining purposes.
How much is the discount?
The Disney World dining discount via Tables in Wonderland is 20% food and beverage, including alcohol. This discount is good for up to 10 guests, including the cardholder.
Pro Tip: Only one member of your party or family needs to be the Tables in Wonderland cardholder (cardholder must pay the bill). No need to purchase additional memberships if your party is less than 10 people! If you have more than 10 guests, a spouse may purchase a secondary Tables in Wonderland membership that is good for up to 20 diners, including both cardholders.
Who can buy Tables in Wonderland?
Tables in Wonderland is only available for Florida Residents, Annual Passholders, and Disney Vacation Club members. The cost for this membership is:
- $175 USD for Florida Residents
- $150 USD for Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members
If you wish to purchase that secondary membership, then the cost for an additional cardholder is $50 USD.
How can you purchase Tables in Wonderland?
You can purchase a Tables in Wonderland membership by visiting any of the Guest Relations centers at the Disney World theme parks or Disney Springs. Florida Residents and Annual Passholders may also purchase by calling (407) 566-5858 (membership card delivery will take 3-4 weeks if ordered by phone).
If you are purchasing the card in person, make sure you have:
- Disney Vacation Club Members: valid photo ID and the Disney Vacation Club Membership ID or Card
- Florida Residents: A valid photo ID and proof of residency
- Passholders: Valid photo ID and Annual Pass
Is Tables in Wonderland worth it?
Of course, the biggest question is “is it worth it?” Just like I’ve said in other dining discount posts, the answer just depends! If you plan on eating all of your meals at Disney World Resort dining locations, then that 20% discount will add up quickly to offset the cost of the membership price. This is especially true if you travel with a large party or if you frequent Disney World dining locations throughout the year. What I like about the Tables in Wonderland membership is that this discount can be applied to both quick service and table service locations both at the theme parks, resort hotels, and Disney Springs.
A downside to this membership, is that you will need to dine at the participating locatios in order to receive the discount. That will require a little more planning on your part!
All-in-all, take a look at your vacation itinerary, estimate how much you plan on spending on food, and see if the Disney World dining discount via Tables in Wonderland is right for you. Always, do the math!!
Until next time… Cheers!!
