Happy Thursday and welcome back to KatDoesDisney! Now that it’s December, I can’t help but think about my son’s first trip to Disney World. We decided to go at the beginning of the month just as the Christmas Season was beginning! He was just a baby, but enjoyed his time visiting Mickey nonetheless. Here are my top 5 must-haves for a baby while vacationing at Disney World!

Christmastime is the most magical time at Disney World, so be sure to check out our other holiday posts! We shared the best holiday activities (Part 1 and Part 2) as well as where to meet Santa Claus!

Traveling with an infant to Disney World can be daunting, but there are a few items I was so happy to have! Thus, here are my 5 must-haves for a baby while at Disney World!

1. Infant Carrier

This has to be the #1 thing I was so happy to have! It was a last minute item that I just decided to toss in the car, but it was a lifesaver. I figured it wouldn’t be necessary because I was used to carrying my son around at home. However, waiting in line for an attraction or spending hours walking around Disney World is so much different!

The Infantino Flip Carrier literally saved my back! I ended up using it all the time as my son loved seeing everything and being near me. Carriers can get pricey, but this one sold by Infantino is excellent and a bargain! I can’t stress bringing one enough!

2. Sound Machine

We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for our son’s first trip and it was a little noisy! However, nighttime was a breeze with our sound machine. We cranked ours up to the highest setting and our son slept through each night! Honestly, my husband and I slept very well with the white noise! Yay for a win!

3. Pacifiers and Pacifier Clips

There is a lot to see and experience at Disney World that can be overwhelming for babies. Therefore, I found my son used his pacifier more than normal. I was very happy to have more than enough pacifiers and clips! The MAM pacifiers are great- they last long, stay in, and look cute! There are even super adorable MAM pacifier clips for boys and girls.

4. Noise Cancelling Headphones

I just talked about noise cancelling headphones in my Frozen 2 movies tips, but they come also in handy for little ones in the theme parks! There are always unanticipated loud noises in the parks or on the attractions. The last thing I every wanted was for my son to start crying from fear!

Pro tip: Order these headphones before your vacation and have your little one try them on. Getting them used to wearing them beforehand will make it much easier when at Disney World!

5. Electric Kettle

If you need to sanitize anything while at Disney World, then bring along an electric kettle! Boiling water will kill any nasty germs on pacifiers, toys, bottles, and nipples. We simply poured the hot, kettle water into the in-room mugs and let anything sit that needed cleaning.

Bonus: Condiment Cups and Ziploc Bags

If your little one is drinking formula, then I recommend pre-measuring the powder into condiment cups and storing them into Ziploc bags. That way you can simply grab a bag at feeding time and pour the pre-measured powder into the bottle! Voila! Easy peasy.

The bags can also be used to store extra pacifiers and clips or even extra outfits (seriously, you’ll want several change of clothes!). If you wish to reduce plastic waste, you can purchase reusable bags instead!

I hope these baby must-haves make your Disney World vacation a breeze!! What are your favorites? Tell me in the comments below!

Until next time… Cheers!
