We talk about the best thrill rides at Disney World in each of the four theme parks. Today’s post will be all about the thrill rides at Disney Hollywood Studios!
One of our best friends says the following about Disney World… “All you do is get in a boat, go 3 mph, and look at stuff.” For the most part, he’s absolutely correct! However, there are some great rides for anyone needing a little pep in their step! Let’s see what Hollywood Studios has to offer…
Pro tip: Be sure to grab your FastPass+ reservations for these attractions! Just keep in mind that Hollywood Studios has a new FastPass+ tiers.

Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster Starring Aerosmith
This one HAS to be at the top of my list. I’ve braved this indoor coaster only twice. Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster is a darkened coaster with two rollover loops and one corkscrew. You zoom through the track listening to some of Aerosmith’s most famous tunes blasting from 25 speakers and 24 subwoofers inside your “limousine”. This one should definitely be on your list of must-do thrill rides at Disney Hollywood Studios!
Must be 48 in (122 cm) or taller to ride.

My husband and I LOVE The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror! The theming and thrills are on point and cannot be missed during your next trip to The World. Are you brave enough to board a creepy elevator-style lift and travel back into the Twilight Zone from the 1930s? You will be hurtled up and down several stories, but will you make it back?! Tower of Terror is fun and has completely different ride feels during the day versus the night. I recommend trying to ride this iconic attraction during different times of the day!
Must be 40 in (102 cm) or taller to ride.

Now for a more mild thrill ride, Slinky Dog Dash! This is an extremely popular family roller coaster located in Toy Story Land. Although there aren’t loop-de-loops in this coaster, there twists, turns, climbs, and drops through Andy’s backyard! Slinky even blasts off twice from two differen launch pads! Just be sure to get to the park early or secure a FastPass+ so you can ride.
Must be 38 in (97 cm) or taller to ride.

Millennium Falcon- Smugglers Run
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is home to 2 thrill rides, the first of which is Millennium Falcon- Smugglers Run. Now, this isn’t a coaster-type thrill ride, but rather an interactive smuggling mission on board a Millennium Falcon simulator! You and your crew get to “take the wheel” of this famous ship. Will you get to be a pilot, gunner, or engineer?
Must be 38 in (97 cm) or taller to ride.

The second ride in Galaxy’s Edge, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, is scheduled to open in Disney World Dec. 5. From what we’ve heard, this is going to be a thrill ride like no other Disney has ever created! Guests will start off the attraction with Rey and Po Dameron, receive a mission, end up on a Star Destroyer, become impressoned and interrogated by Kylo Ren, then escape. Whew!! That’s a lot of anticipation for one ride. Can’t wait to see what it’s like in December!
Must be 40 in (102 cm) or taller to ride.
