What’s Coming to Disney World this Fall

Can you believe Fall is already beginning in the Disney Parks? Magic Kingdom is all decked out in its festive Fall colors. This is my favorite season and it is a great time to be at Disney World. There are so many things coming to Disney World this Fall!

1. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

First and foremost, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge officially opens to the public on August 29th! Disney World guests will be able to explore the new planet of Batuu, specifically its Black Spire Outpost. Here you can fly the Millennium Falcon herself and become immersed in the intergalactic dispute between the First Order and the Resistance. Be careful which side you choose! The food and drink are getting rave reviews. Are you brave enough to try blue milk?! Just remember that the second attraction, Rise of the Resistance, will be opening on December 5th.

2. Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

One of my favorite things is coming to Disney World this Fall… the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival! This fan favorite is returning to Epcot on August 29th (gosh, that’s a popular date!). This year, 30 marketplaces will be serving up the greatest culinary offerings around Future World and World Showcase. The festival will again host the Eat to the Beat concert series! My husband and I had a blast seeing the Plain White T’s (Aug 29-31)! If you’re an Annual Passholder, be sure to pick up your complimentary Chef Minnie or Mickey magnet. This year, 4 visits will earn you a Chef Minnie wooden coaster set!

3. Skyliner Takes Flight

The newest mode of transportation around the Disney World resort takes flight on September 29. This state-of-the-art system will connect Hollywood Studios and Epcot with four of the resort hotels (Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, Pop Century, and Riviera). There are about 300 gondola cabins ready to transport guests around the resort. These cabins feature adorable graphics of beloved Disney characters including the Hitchhiking Ghosts from Haunted Mansion, Mickey Mouse, C3PO and R2D2 from Star Wars, and Jessie, Woody, and Buzz from Toy Story.

4. Epcot Forever Nighttime Spectacular

IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth has graced the nighttime sky over Epcot for nearly 20 years! Guests will say goodbye to this classic show on September 30 and welcome in a new nightly spectacular on October 1. Epcot Forever will feature 5 acts: inspiration, innovation, exploration, imagination, and celebration. The show will have fireworks, lasers, and a brand new score!

5. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Of course, Fall wouldn’t be complete without Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! This event already made its debut on August 16 at the Magic Kingdom. This year, it features several new offerings including a new fireworks show, dance party, and villians party hosted by Cruella De Vil herself!

6. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

So you might not want to think about the holidays just yet. As much as I love them, I do like to give Halloween and Thanksgiving their times to shine! However, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party debuts this year on November 8th (which is still Fall)!

Until next time… “Under the shadow of the spire!” (practicing the Batuu language 😉 ).
