New Things in 2021 at Disney World

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! We are so excited to welcome in the New Year, especially at The World. Today’s post will be about the best new things for 2021 in Disney World!

Park Hopper Returns

That’s right! Starting January 1, 2021 guests can hop from park to park within The World. This is one of our favorite things to do (Galaxy’s Edge during the day and then dinner at Epcot, anyone?!). You will still be required to have a Park Pass reservation for the first half of the day. After 2:00 PM, you can then hop on over to a different location! Be sure to check the calendar for park times. Just a word of light caution, park capacity limits will still be in effect. That means that if a park is at capacity, you will not be able to visit it after 2:00 PM.

Resort Reopenings

Some of the Disney World Resort Hotels remained closed during the COVID-19 restrictions during 2020. However, a few more will be opening their doors to guests in this New Year! Starting in March, four new resorts will be welcoming back visitors. The resorts reopening include:

  • All-Star Movie (reopening March 22nd)
  • Beach Club (reopening May 30)
  • Wilderness Lodge (reopening June 6th)
  • Polynesian Village Resort (reopening late summer after refurbishment)

Free Park Tickets

Yes, you did just read that correctly! New in 2021 at Disney World is a special package offer that includes free two day park tickets. Crazy, right?! Guests looking to vacation at The World in 2021, can book this “new years” offer beginning January 5th. The two free tickets are for those booking an non-discounted 4-night/3-day room and ticket package at select Walt Disney World resorts. This is valid for arrival dates from January 8th through September 25th.

New Park Additions

There were a few park additions slated for opening in 2020 that the pandemic pushed back to the new year. These are all in Epcot and include:

  • The Streets of Paris
  • Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
  • Space 220 Restaurant

Until next time… Cheers!!
