Halloween Happenings at Disney World

Happy October, everyone!! Ready to celebrate Halloween all month long? You may be wondering what Halloween happenings are at Disney World this year. There are a few festivities even though Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is canceled. And, yes, you will even be able to hear the Mickey’s Boo to You parade song!

Halloween Cavalcades

So there are no parades happening in Disney World currently. Since parades usually draws crowds, Disney has opted for character cavalcades. These cavalcades feature your favorite characters and have themed music. However, they are smaller (think 1 or 2 floats) and are not on a set schedule. There are a few Halloween cavalcades including:

  • Mickey and friends in costume
  • Disney Villains
  • Nightmare Before Christmas

Halloween Character Dining

Character dining is coming back to Disney World! If you’re in the Halloween mood, be sure to check out Hollywood & Vine over at Hollywood Studios for Minnie’s Halloween Dine. There you will be treated to a “monster feast” that is brought directly to your table (no buffets!). You will be able to meet Minnie, Mickey, and friends in socially distanced meet and greets! This dining experience is available now through October 31, 2020 for lunch and dinner.

Special Photo Opportunities

Another one of the Halloween happenings at Disney World are special PhotoPass Studio opportunities throughout the parks. Love Haunted Mansion? They have a special picture for that. Want to battle Maleficent as a dragon? You can do that, too!

Costumes are Allowed!

Since Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is canceled, Disney is allowing teens and adults to dress in costume for the first time! However, guests 14 and over may not wear full face costume masks. So, go wild! And have the whole family dress up and celebrate Halloween in Magic Kingdom!

That’s all for now, folks! Happy October and Halloween season!
