Hi everyone and welcome back to another week! I don’t know about you, but with Thanksgiving just around the corner during this 2020 year, I’m looking for that warm and fuzzy holiday feeling. So that’s what we will focus on today! Here are some feel good things coming from Disney World. Enjoy!!
Night of a Million Lights
Give Kids the World is a top-rated, nonprofit charity that gives critically ill children and their families a cost-free week-long vacation. During the holidays this year, the Give Kids the World Village is lighting up from November 13- January 3 for their special Night of a Million Lights event. There are over 3 million sparkling lights that immerse guests in a village of fantasy and wonder. Admission includes a hot chocolate, an ice cream, and access to rides and attractions. The Man himself, Santa, will also be making an appearance!
So what does this have to do with Disney World? Well, Disney donated those 3 million lights to make this event possible. Cast members also donated Magic Kingdom inspired holiday decorations including garlands, wreaths, and bows. Disney Parks Blog writes “Give Kids The World brings so much light and joy to the Central Florida community – and the lives of so many deserving children and families – each and every day, and we hope by helping decorate the Village we convey the important message of hope that merry and bright days are ahead.” Every dollar raised goes to Give Kids the World!

Disney Holiday Magic Quest
Disney Channel is getting in on the holiday fun and hosting a special virtual challenge in Magic Kingdom! Join your host, Raven-Symoné, and stars from ZOMBIES 2 including, Milo Manheim, Kylee Russell, Ariel Martin, and Pearce Joza, as they must restore the holiday magic stolen by Maleficent and the Evil Queen. Will they prevail?? Tune in to “Disney Holiday Magic Quest” on Disney Channel, Friday, Dec. 4 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT to find out!!
The four ZOMBIES 2 stars will be competing for a grand prize that will benefit Toys for Tots. This is the perfect transition into our next feel good thing at Disney World…
Disney’s Toys for Tots Campaign
I truly believe it is always better to give than to receive. Since 1947, Toys for Tots, another wonderful nonprofit organization, collects and donates toys to less-fortunate children during Christmastime. I’m sure you’ve seen the toy drop boxes scattered around your town! Disney is teaming up with Toys for Tots to give back this holiday season.
Join Neil Patrick-Harris to spread the word on this festive event. You can donate a new, unwrapped toy online (at either ShopDisney.com/ToysforTots or at toysfortots.org) or at one of the drop boxes. Disney has placed these donation boxes in any Disney Store throughout the US. With every toy received, Disney will donate $1 to Toys for Tots! Guests can also purchase a special, limited edition Mickey gingerbread pin. With every pin purchase, Disney will also donate $1!
I hope these feel good things from Disney World help give you that warm and fuzzy feeling as well enter into the holiday season. If you’ll be visiting Disney Springs, be sure to check out our last post on all of their festive offerings!
Until next time… Cheers!!
