All About Disney Very Merriest After Hours Event

Hello again and welcome back! Last week we talked about Fall and today we are skipping right ahead to the jolliest holiday out there… Christmas! Just like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will also not be offered this year. Instead, similar to Halloween, the Christmas event has transformed into an After Hours celebration at Magic Kingdom. Let’s see what Disney’s Very Merriest After Hours event is all about!

What Is It?

Disney’s Very Merriest After Hours takes place in Magic Kingdom as a special ticketed event. Guests will be admitted into the park at 7:00 PM and will get to enjoy an exclusive holiday parade (yes, a parade is returning!), fireworks show, and dance party. Here are the descriptions direct from Disney’s website:

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade: Wave to Disney friends during a holiday parade brimming with joy and magic. This jolly procession begins with Mickey and Minnie, and ends with an appearance by Santa Claus himself!

Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show: Feast your eyes on a scintillating fireworks display, hosted by Minnie Mouse. See the sky light up in dazzling colors to the tune of favorite Christmas carols.

Club Tinsel Dance Party: Club Tinsel in Tomorrowland becomes the coolest place to get down when denizens of the North Pole drop by for the cheeriest dance party in the whole Magic Kingdom park!

While there, ticket holders should keep their eyes peeled for festive character sightings and their ears open for holiday melodies being sung in Frontierland by the Reindeer Wranglers! Additionally, guests will get to enjoy shorter wait times on a selection of beloved Magic Kingdom attractions including”

  • Dumbo the Flying Elephant
  • Jungle Cruise
  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
  • Haunted Mansion
  • Peter Pan’s Flight
  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
  • Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
  • Space Mountain

Like other After hours events, ice cream novelties, popcorn, and select beverages are included in the ticket cost! The instagram worthy food offerings will be available for an additional fee (beyond the ticket price).

So what do you guys think of this new event? We love Christmas here at KatDoesDisney, but those prices are pretty high! About $1,000 for a family of 4 is a lot of money that will need to be budgeted for. Hopefully, Disney makes it worth the price tag!

Tune in next time for an all new post.

Until then… Cheers!!!
