The Best Tips for Making the Most of Magic Kingdom

Hello all and welcome back to our latest series! Today we will continue with our best tips for making the most of your visit to Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Don’t forget to check out our first post for tips on the entirety of Disney World!

#1 Leave for Meals

You may be very surprised with our first tip being to leave! Hear me out though… Magic Kingdom has some GREAT snack locations. The eggrolls, dole whips, and Cheshire Cat Tails are amazing, but finding outstanding table or quick service meals can be a bit challenging. There are actually outstanding meal options at the resorts located along the Magic Kingdom monorail loop. You can also catch a boat to the resorts or even walk (since there is now a walking path from Magic Kingdom to The Grand Floridian!). An added bonus is that these resorts are usually very empty during the day, so you get a nice break from the crowds and heat while you enjoy a delicious meal! Here are our favorite resort locations:

Polynesian Village Resort:

Grand Floridian Resort & Spa:

#2 Be Mindful of Transportation

Unlike the other Disney theme parks, Magic Kingdom does not have a parking lot directly adjacent to the entrance. That means, you’ll likely have to pass through the Transportation & Ticket Center (TTC). There you will need to catch a connecting mode of transportation directly to Magic Kingdom. That extra step can take a lot of extra time, so be sure to plan accordingly!

You can travel directly to the front entrance of Magic Kingdom if you take a:

  • bus from another Disney World Resort Hotel
  • Minnie Van
  • Monorail (or walk!) from either the Grand Floridian, Polynesian Village, or Contemporary resorts

#3 Take Breaks

One of our best tips for making the most of your trip to Magic Kingdom is knowing when to take breaks. Everyone will need them, even if it is just a break from the Floridian heat and humidity. Another important thing to keep in mind is that this park, more so than the others, is especially stimulating for kids. There are very bright colors, a lot of movement and noise, and everything is relatively close together!

Those are our best tips for making the most of your visit to the Magic Kingdom in Disney World! Check back next week where we share more tips for another Disney Park!

Until next time… Cheers!!!
